Meet Jason White:
Jason White, president and head fitness coach of Trainer Direct, LLC
has performed thousands of workouts with a diverse population. Jason's
clients, who have ranged in age from 13 to 85, have improved their
fitness levels whether they were a healthy teenager or an older adult
dealing with medical issues including arthritis, osteoporosis, lower
back problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and more.
A 1994 graduate of the State University at Purchase, Coach Jason holds
a degree in Fine Arts. While busy posting his best academic scores in
his life he fell in love with weightlifting. At first it was a lark, he
and a friend decided to see who could build the most muscle in the
first semester of their second year.
He failed miserably. And that is what started him on the fitness path.
First there were questions: Why am I so weak? Why do get I fat so
easily? Why is it so hard for me to gain muscle? How can I develop
awesome Six-Pack Abs?
What followed were classes in weight training and conditioning which
soon led to a personal trainer certification from the American Council
on Exercise and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification
from the NSCA. Combined with his Medical Exercise and pre-post natal
training he founded Trainer Direct in 2000 with one goal: To help as
many people as possible get into the best shape of their lives. Jason
is a passionate entrepreneur, speaker, coach and consultant. He
diligently works day in and day out with professionals, corporations
and organizations teaching them how to incorporate fitness into their
lifestyles.
Strength Nation is the Creation of Jason White, owner of Trainer Direct, LLC, He tells his story about its creation below.
It was inspired by a day dream, I was napping (in late '98) and I was
struck by an idea: What if I could use this new thing called the
internet to discuss fitness information with people? I went online and
looked at available domain names and Strength Radio was available. So I
bought it. Months passed before I did anything with it. I finally put
up a website with a friend and it flopped on a major scale. Part of the
reason for its failure was the vision, and the other part was the
technology, neither was strong enough.
So it went back into hiding but I always renewed my dues to keep the
domain name. Fast forward to the summer of 2004 and I was shopping for
a new mp3 player when I came across one that would make a quality
recording and transfer it to my computer.
That was when the light came on. All I needed after that was a company
that sold website software that would hold my ideas. I found the guys
at Visiongate and they said my idea would work and now you can listen
to fitness talk radio online and on demand anytime at
www.strengthnation.com
Most of my colleagues are very bright, articulate, and very passionate
about fitness. Since my career as a trainer began it has always been an
inspiration to be around these people all day and discuss fitness with
them. The idea of recording and broadcasting our conversations was a
natural extension of that. I designed Strength Radio to be an online
fitness community that had something that no other place had, quality
talk about the one subject we need to know the most about: how to
master our bodies. And as it turns out there is more to mastery than
just exercise. What we eat, and how we think and feel about ourselves
is also of critical importance which is why the member site is divided
up into the sections Physical Strength, Nutritional Strength, and Inner
Strength.
Inner Strength is probably the most exciting topic to come out of the
fitness field in decades. Since personal training has become such a
part of our lives more and more people are turning to their trainers
not only for nutritional and exercise advice but advice on developing
positive psychological and emotional habits as well.
We are complex creatures with diverse needs, Strength Nation is
designed to help women and men find and develop all of their strength,
inside and out.

» [- Apr 12, 2009 at 5:42 AM -] Claudius Crustgriddle says: Why can't I find the place to send you an email?
In your recent podcast, you talked about the Lord's Prayer, but you really meant: the Serenity Prayer. The Lord's Prayer starts out: Our Father, who art in heaven. . . .
Details matter. Getting things wrong calls into doubt everything else you have to say.
